I offer a range of services, but each project is unique.

Let’s find what fits for you.

Are you looking for a literary leader?

Start here.

  • You send me the completed manuscript (in Icelandic, Danish, German, or English), and I’ll write a full synopsis that covers plot, structure, characterisation—all the elements that make the book the book. I also include a brief market analysis, reviews from periodicals in the source (and other) language(s), and comparisons to similar texts.

  • Making the right first impression with a top-of-the-line translation helps you place your manuscript with the right international publishers. English is often the gateway to many other languages and territories. I provide sample translations at a competitive rate, and work with you hand-in-hand as your voice takes shape in English.

  • I read your completed manuscript (in the original language) and provide an editorial report that covers issues such as plot, pacing, dialogue and structure. I make specific recommendations about what your next steps should be.

  • Please inquire about full-length translation. My books have been long-listed for illustrious awards like the Dublin Literary Award and American-Scandinavian Foundation Nadia Christensen Prize and have received overwhelmingly positive reviews in the New York Times, Oprah, LitHub, and Vulture.

  • I will write a review of your book to get it to the right outlets.

  • I will advocate for you to agents and publishers abroad to find a home for your book.

  • I offer mentorships to young translators, writers, English majors, etc., to help them define their goals and next steps in the form of short meetings. These are complementary, my way of paying it forward.

  • Publishing is more than picking up your pen. And each person is different; let’s work together to plot out what you need to get you where you want to go.

OR ARE YOU IN NEED OF A MARKETING MASTERMIND?

Take this path instead.

  • I’ll assess your content, socials, or web property and give advice on how and where to make improvements.

  • Let’s give your brand character. I’ve built several brand books, ranging from short editorial guide to complete 65 page step-by-step resources. Let’s talk about what you need. My focus is on messaging and voice characterstics.

  • Looking for something more long term? I provide fully fleshed out strategies for where to take your marketing and sales enablement content, including timelines and suggested performance metrics.

  • If you’re looking to position your organisation as a forward-looking enterprise (or maybe something smaller), I offer research and writing services for the topic of your choice.

  • Buyers are on a journey to learn. To standout in a highly competitive market, you need high-quality content with practical advice. This shows investment in your clients. For this custom offering, ill strategies, build, and fully manage your knowledge centre. I develop promotional strategies to underscore these efforts.

  • You provide me with the brief, I provide you with the content you need written. This includes blogs, e-books, ad copy, scripts, among others. I also offer editorial and proofreading services.

  • For companies seeking to expand into international markets, translation is essential. I’ll transcreate your website and assets into English from Iceland, Danish, or German.

  • I have a wide range of capabilities across strategy, marketing, writing, and communications. Please contact me for custom work.

When I read Meg Matich’s report for a new novel by one of Iceland’s most treasured novelists, it was like I was entering another dimension. Meg rendered the book in all its fullness and explained its internal mechanics, under the surface, with the eagle’s eye of a true writer. Meg’s rich and detailed work is high above the usual standards — in one word, it is brilliant!”
